I don’t think we can totally rule out Acts 2’s “day of the Lord” as referring primarily if not exclusively to the judgment on Jerusalem in AD 70. “Last days” and “day of the Lord” certainly have a multiplicity of possible references throughout the New Testament, do they not? I’m sure not many of you are partial preterists, but I had to put my two cents in to remind everyone of the option, because I am a partial preterist…a continuationist, too…strange, I know…
Michael, I take you are not a Charismatic. Join the crowd neither are we traditional Pentecostals. We consider ourselves Orthodox both with a big ‘O’ as well as with the small ‘o’ as in orthodoxy. 🙂
