1. The Elect

In Romans 9:6-13 Paul makes that argument to those who believe that God’s promises to Christians might fail just as the seemed to fail with Israel that it is only the elect that are “children of promise.” Not all of Israel is true Israel.

2. The intermediate state compared to the resurrected state.

2 Cor. 5:4 “For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life.

The idea here is that our primary hope is in the resurrection. Only at that time will be be complete, the way God created us to be.

Just to clarify, from the chart, does it mean that an unregenerated person with fallen nature, can and do long to be without sin?

Not all Israel is Israel poses an exegetical problem, as Progressive Covenant theology do not see this as being the case.
However when considering the the fact of replacement theology, their are problems.
I infer that with the danger of replacement theology, it would infer that the National of Israel in the flesh is not true Israel but spiritual Israel, (Unscriptural phrase) is the seed of promise. that is the Believers .
Again the context of Romans 9 is speaking of God’s Sovereignty and His dealing with the descendant of Isaac, later to become Israel.

verse 11 For though the twins were not yet born and had not done anything good or bad, so that god’s purpose according to His choice would stand not because of works but because of Him who calls,…NASB.
Our Prior expectations is that as we undergo process sanctification by being conformed to the image of the son of God. this is Salvation of saved completed, being saved on going process and shall be saved when our deliver and rescuer Christ Jesus Comes. Credo et intelligum PS
