No, you don’t have to come to the Credo House to take part in a Boot Camp on Theology. You can actually host one at your church!

Bootcamps on Theology are fun, informative, and foundational. They are designed to facilitate learning and engagement in the great truths of the Christian faith. For six hours on one day, C. Michael Patton, President of Reclaiming the Mind Ministries (or a qualified RMM instructor), will walk you through a fun interactive time of digging deep into the most important doctrines of Christianity.

Description:

Bible Boot Camp: Theological Foundations: Here you will be taken on a voyage through four major doctrines of the Christian faith including the Bible, the Trinity, man, and sin in one day! Illustrative and fun, this is the most comprehensive of all the Bookcamps designed to familiarize people with the most significant biblical doctrinal issues in the history of the church.

Other more specific Bootcamps to choose from:

Boot Camp on the Bible: Here we will focus on the history and nature of the Scriptures, beginning with the history of the Bible and ending with proper biblical interpretation. This session also includes an interactive time where the audience will become scribes, actually creating their own manuscripts in order to demonstrate how reliable the words of the Bible truly are.

Bootcamp on the Trinity: Here we look at the great doctrine of God. Among other things, we will wrestle with the doctrine of the Trinity and the nature of God. For a good portion of time we will shape our Christology (doctrine of Christ) wrestling with the significance of the hypostatic union.

Bootcamp on Eschatology: Having trouble wading through the waters of the end times? Let us provide you with a life raft. During the Bootcamp on Eschatoloty, you will be led through an understanding of all the major positions concerning the end-times. By the time this Bootcamp is complete, your people will have a firm grasp on the hope of His coming.

Bootcamp on Church History: During this Bootcamp we will walk you through the entire history of the church in six hours! We will focus on several major “turning points” in church history. Discover you liniage by hosting a Bootcamp on Church History at your church.

Bootcamp on Salvation: Atonement, election, inclusivism, and justification: What do all these terms mean? During the Bootcamp on Salvation you will dig deep in the Scriptures in order to discover what is so great about salvation. From the differences between Catholics and Protestants to the Arminian/Calvinism debate, we will help you to understand this central issue of the Gospel.

Bootcamp on Apologetics: Defending the faith is something that we are all commanded to do, yet we are often fearful of our ability to answer questions sufficiently. The Bootcamp on Apologetics is designed to help you learn to defend your faith with more confidence and tact. During this Bootcamp we will look at many of the major stumbling blocks to the faith that people bring up including “Why does God seem sadistic in the Old Testament?” and “Why does God allow so much evil?”

Bootcamp on Interpretation: How do we move from the ancient text of the Scripture to apply it to our lives? Why are there so many interpretations? Do I have to be a Biblical scholar to understand the Bible? During this Bootcamp we will guide your group through the process of Biblical interpretation helping them have confidence that they can understand the Bible without a degree in theology.

*Because of the nature of the Bootcamps, they are normally scheduled for Saturdays. Exceptions can be made.

We are VERY EXCITED to be part of what we are calling “Reclaiming The Mind Weekend” here in Columbus, GA on August 27-29! We have partnered up with a few local area churches to bring Michael to town for a weekend full of activities and discipleship! Here is how our schedule breaks down:

FRIDAY – Ministry Support Dinner and Overview

      SATURDAY – Bootcamp on Interpretation

SUNDAY – Michael preaches at our church!

We hope to expand the awareness of RMM in the local area, raise financial support and educate even more people on the value of understanding good theology.

I am sure the Lord will bless this event mightily!

      Looking forward to it!!!
