My translation/commentary/paraphrase of this passage:
Psalm 50:9-12
I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens, for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine. If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.
Loose Translation:
Let’s get something straight: I don’t need you. You need me. I am completely satisfied at all times. Your prayers do not make me more whole or stronger. I am not as impressed as you think I am by your “support” of my work. I don’t lack and you do not sustain. It’s the other way around.
I own everything: Wallstreet is mine. Amazon is mine. The US military: I own it. Every Bitcoin? Mine. I am the real estate tycoon of a thousand generations, owning all the land on earth and a million other earths.
Do not make the mistake of thinking I somehow lack in anything. You are talking to the The Beginning Of All Things. When you serve me, you are simply falling in line with reality. When you come to me, you come on my terms because my terms make square reality. My terms are burdened by myself alone. I am ”a se,” “from myself.” I am YHWH, the ”Being one.” I choose to be your friend, not because I am lonely, but because I am awesome and want to share with you in my awesomeness. I love you, not because you complete me, but because I complete you and I AM love.
